Related technologies of ASA co-extrusion board mainly include ASA-PVC co-extrusion technology and its application in outdoor profiles.

ASA-PVC co-extrusion technology
ASA-PVC co-extrusion technology is to extrude PVC wood-plastic substrate and ASA co-extrusion coating material through two extruders respectively, and then through the co-extrusion composite die head, so that the ASA coating layer is naturally attached to it when the substrate is extruded, thereby achieving perfect coating of the substrate. This technology combines ASA coating material with PVC dry blend. The ASA melt is compounded with the PVC melt in a large area with an extremely thin thickness and extruded out of the mold together. After cooling and shaping in the shaping mold and water tank, as well as polishing, traction and protective film application, it is finally sawed into a specified length.

ASA material characteristics and its application in outdoor profiles
ASA is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile (A), styrene (S) and acrylate (A), with good rigidity, weather resistance, chemical resistance and friction resistance. Its structural formula is -[-CH2-CH(C5H5)-CH2-CH(CN)-]n- or -[-CH2-CH(C5H5)-CH(CN)-CH2-]n- . The main chain of the amorphous terpolymer of ASA is a saturated structure and does not contain double bonds, so it has excellent resistance to ultraviolet rays. The carbonyl and nitrile groups in its macromolecular chain have significant ultraviolet resistance, and the benzene ring, as a stable structure, is difficult to undergo photochemical reactions. These characteristics make ASA excellent in weather resistance and color stability.

Specific application cases
In order to solve the problem of easy aging of PVC plastic wood composite materials during outdoor use, ASA is used to coat PVC plastic wood for co-extrusion profile preparation. This technical solution involves a profile structure, in which layer A is composed of ASA resin material and layer B is PVC plastic wood composite material. Through multi-layer co-extrusion, it is ensured that the ASA resin completely covers the PVC plastic wood composite material. This design significantly improves the anti-aging performance of outdoor profiles and extends their service life.
